MOTORIST Matthew Clark was caught driving while more than twice the legal alcohol limit.

The 19-year-old pleaded guilty to driving a Vauxhall Corsa in Highlands Road, Fareham, after drinking too much.

A test revealed his breath contained 73 microgrammes of alcohol per 100 millilitres.

The legal limit is 35mg.

Clark from Ocean Close, Fareham, was fined £250 by Fareham magistrates.

He was also told to pay £15 into a fund for crime victims and £85 in court costs.

Magistrates also banned Clark from driving for 18 months.
