A TEENAGER has died after being stabbed in Chichester.

The 18-year-old was stabbed in Chichester last night and later died from his injuries.

A 19-year-old man has been arrested, police said.

He handed himself in at Chichester Police Station this afternoon, according to Sussex police.

It comes after a 20-year-old was arrested on suspicion of murder this morning.

Ambulance paramedics were called to Alexandra Road just after 9pm on Friday, March 11, where an 18-year-old local man had been found in the road with serious stab wounds.

He was initially taken to St Richard’s Hospital in Chichester and then transferred to Southampton General Hospital where he sadly died around 1am on Saturday morning (March 12).

Shortly after 4am, a 20-year-old man from Chichester was arrested at an address in the city on suspicion of murder.

He remained in custody on Saturday afternoon.
