A STAFFORDSHIRE bull terrier that was out of control in public has been destroyed.

Ashley Wilson, 27, of Rothesay Road, Gosport, admitted being the owner of the dog, called Kilo, which injured a man in Gosport High Street on December 11.

Wilson was given a 12-month conditional discharge.

He was banned from keeping a dog for five years by Fareham magistrates.

Wilson must pay £15 to a fund for crime victims and £85 in court costs.
