VANDALS have attacked six more cars belonging to a taxi firm leaving them with a repair bill of £25,000.
As previously reported, Andicars’ new fleet of Hyundai taxis have been targeted in what the owners call an organised attack.
Last month, five vehicles parked in different places had paint stripper poured over them. A few days later another was hit.
On Monday a Hyundai parked in Apollo Drive, Waterlooville, was targeted, and in the early hours of yesterday, five cars in Cunningham Drive, Waterlooville, also had paint stripper poured over them.
Taxi driver Nicolae Ghencian, 33, of Crookhorn, said: ‘Whoever did this took their time. Every single panel of the car has been damaged. I’ve only had it two weeks.
‘Who would want to do something like this? The car was in a car park and none of the others were damaged so whoever did this deliberately picked my car.
‘It’s worrying to think someone is doing this – especially when you have young children at home.’
The cost of repairing the damage to all the vehicles is estimated by the company to be around £25,000.
They have put up a reward of £5,000 for any information leading to a conviction.
A spokesman for Andicars said: ‘Someone must know who is doing this and why.
‘We have recently invested in a fleet of new cars and someone appears to be trying to sabotage our business.
‘We want this person stopped, so if you have any idea who it may be please tell us so we can pass the information to the police.
‘We are a local firm providing work for local drivers, well-known and well-used by everyone in Havant.
‘Everyone else tells us we do everything right – so what we have done to upset this individual is a mystery.’
