TWO friends have admitted sexually assaulting a woman and taking pictures of the humiliating abuse.

Jake Jenkins and George Cashmore molested the young woman in Portsmouth.

Jenkins, 23 and Cashmore, 21, cut off her clothes during the assault in July last year.

They also took photographs of the woman, who cannot be named for legal reasons, using a mobile phone.

Jenkins, of Meadowcroft, Swindon, and Cashmore, of Holbein Court, Swindon, both pleaded guilty to sexual assault.

They have also admitted failing to attend court when they were due to appear for an earlier hearing.

The pair were due to be sentenced at Portsmouth Crown Court yesterday but Judge Richard Price adjourned the case because of a disagreement between Cashmore’s barrister and the prosecution over some of the facts of the case.

There will now be a hearing later this month when the judge will decide whether he will sentence Cashmore on the basis of what he says happened or what the prosecution took place.

Both men were remanded in custody.

Judge Price said: ‘All sentencing options, including custody, are open to the sentencing judge in respect of the offence for which you are before the court today.’
