A HOMELESS man has been fined £5 for begging in the street.

Mark Baldwin has been repeatedly arrested for the offence.

The 31-year-old was given a conditional discharge by the courts for begging, all over Portsmouth, in April.

But on August 3 he was caught again, in Cosham High Street.

He pleaded guilty to the offence when he appeared at Portsmouth Magistrates’ Court.

This time he was fined £5 and told to pay £15 in costs within two weeks.
