Police offer reward for arrest of former Portsmouth resident after £12 million heroin supply trial

POLICE are appealing for information to help their inquiries about an assault on a teenage girl in Havant.

Details of the incident, which happened between 10am and 2pm on August 8, have only just been released.

The victim was 13 at the time of the attack, which took place in a park opposite St Alban’s RC Primary School, St Alban’s Road, Havant.

Investigating officers said the victim was involved in a row with a group of young teenagers and, when she and her friend walked away, the group threw part of a discarded chair at her, causing injuries to her neck and head. The girl was treated for concussion and whiplash, along with headaches and dizzy spells.

PC Angela Morrell of Havant police station, said: ‘This was a nasty assault which has left the victim still suffering from dizzy spells two months on.

‘We are appealing to anyone who was in the park at the time of the attack to contact us if they remember seeing this incident or have any information that will help us to identify the person responsible.’
