BIKES worth thousands of pounds were stolen in a raid on a garage.

Thieves broke into a padlocked garage in Wickor Way, Emsworth, overnight between Thursday and Friday.

They stole a black Giant TCR- Advanced racing cycle, with silver lettering worth around £4,000.

They also took a black Dolan Excalibur racing bike, with white lettering, with a value of £3,500.

A white Boardman Pro road cycle worth £999 was taken along with a silver Boardman Hybrid road racing bike with black lettering on the frame, valued at £699.

PC Chris Hudson said: ‘These are very expensive, very distinctive cycles, and I would ask anyone with information as to their whereabouts to contact police as soon as possible.

‘It may be that the owner has been specifically targeted due to the high value of the bikes, but I would urge all residents of Emsworth to keep ensuring that all property is locked and secure at all times.’
