Police arrest men from Portsmouth and Fareham after A3 pursuit

A POLICE pursuit on the A3 ended up in a crash and led to three arrests of men from Portsmouth and Fareham.

The black Vauxhall Corsa they were travelling in was involved in a crash on the A3 northbound at Hindhead on Sunday evening.

The car was being chased by police from Hampshire Constabulary.

A spokesman from Hampshire Constabulary said the occupants of the car suffered minor injuries in the crash, which happened at around 9pm.

The Hindhead Tunnel was closed for a short time following the incident.

Three people were arrested.

Jordan Stanley, 18, of no fixed abode, has been charged with aggravated vehicle taking, driving a motor vehicle dangerously, driving a motor vehicle other than in accordance with licence, using a motor vehicle without insurance and making off without payment.

Bradley Nelson, 18, of Langstone Walk in Fareham and Bradley Thomas, 18, of Hilsea Crescent in Portsmouth have been charged with aggravated vehicle taking and making off without payment.

They were all due to appear at Basingstoke Magistrates’ Court yesterday.
