A MAN arrested on suspicion of murder is continuing to be questioned by detectives.

It comes after Christopher Butler, 27, was found dead in Waverley Road, Southsea, at 12.35am on New Year’s Day.

A 41-year-old, who was arrested on Thursday, remains in custody.

Police confirmed they are also still questioning a 48-year-old who is also in custody.

A spokesman added a 29-year-old man from Portsmouth was released yesterday evening with no further action.

Brendon Michael Willis, 32, of Waverley Road, is charged with murder and appeared at Winchester Crown Court yesterday.

He is next due to appear at the same court on March 24.
