MAGISTRATES have fined a man after police found cannabis at his home.

William Povey was found with a small amount of the drug at his flat in Gamble Road, Buckland, Portsmouth, during a search in September.

The 25-year-old pleaded guilty to possessing a class B drug when he appeared at Portsmouth Magistrates’ Court.

Povey was fined £230 and told to pay £50 in costs within two weeks.

The magistrates also ordered that the cannabis seized should be destroyed.
