A SEARCH by police following a robbery in Copnor has led to four arrests.

The arrests follow a robbery at Copnor Rd Mini Mart, on Copnor Road, around 9.20pm.

Police were called to the scene, including a police helicopter that circled over the area for around one hour.

Worried residents took to social media to express their concern.

Police were seen by residents on Copnor Road, Powerscourt Road and Carnavon Road.

The newsagents and the hairdressers next door were covered by police tape.

A spokesman from Hampshire Constabulary said that four men - a 22-year-old, a 24-year-old, a 23-year-old and a 31-year-old - have been arrested on suspicion of robbery and remanded in custody.
