A BALL bearing was fired at men working on Peel Common roundabout in Gosport.

Some time between 3.15pm and 4pm on Monday, October 12 staff working on the roundabout at the end of Newgate Lane were fired at by someone with a 15mm ball bearing.

Police are appealing for anyone who might have seen the incident to get in touch.

PC Neil Nancarrow, said: ‘This incident could have had serious consequences.

‘Fortunately the ball bearing did not hit any of the workmen but it was very close.

‘Were you around the area at the time? Did you see what happened or do you know who could be responsible?

‘I would urge anyone with any information to get in touch with us as soon as possible.’
