ROBBERS threatened a man with a glass bottle and stole money from his pockets.

Four men are being hunted by police after they surrounded a 43-year-old on Albert Road, Southsea, and helped themselves to his wages.

The victim had been dropped off around midnight on Monday June 4 when the gang approached him as he was crossing at the junction with Beatrice Road.

He was restrained and threatened with a bottle while his pockets were searched. The group then walked off on the south side of Albert Road towards Tesco.

The man who stole money is white, 20 to 26, of medium build, with medium black hair, and was wearing a brown T-shirt and jeans.

One of the men who restrained the victim is black, 20 to 26, 5ft 6in to 5ft 7in, of medium build, with short black hair, and was wearing a black T-shirt and jeans.

The other man who restraining him was black, 5ft 4in, slim, with short black hair and was wearing a light T-shirt and trousers.

The man who was threatening with a bottle was black, 20 to 25, of medium build, 5ft 4in, with short black hair, and was wearing a beige T-shirt.

Detective Constable Steve Bourne said: ‘This incident has clearly shaken the victim. We are seeking any witnesses.’
