A GOOD samaritan who helped a 15-year-old boy hurt in a hit-and-run is urged to contact police.

The victim, from Cosham, suffered a fractured skull and facial injuries after being hit by a vehicle at the Southampton Road junction with Sevenoaks Road in Portsmouth while riding his bike.

The man police want to speak to took the boy to Queen Alexandra Hospital in Cosham, then returned, collected his bike and took it to the hospital following the crash at 6.50am on Saturday. Police, who have stressed he is not a suspect, have released this CCTV image in the hope of tracing him. Call PC Karen Stevenson on 101.
