Toddler fall ‘not suspicious’

A 79-YEAR-OLD man had his wallet stolen in a public toilet in Southsea.

Officers were alerted around 10.35am yesterday following the incident at the loos near Waitrose in Marmion Road.

The suspect was seen running away down Stanley Lane. Police sealed off the area while they carried out enquiries.

The victim was grabbed from behind and his wallet, containing £60, taken from his back pocket.

A Hampshire Constabulary spokesman said: ‘A gentleman had gone into the public toilets outside Waitrose when an unknown man came in behind him and took his wallet out of his back pocket and left. Enquiries are on-going.’

The suspect is described as white, 6ft, aged in his 40s and he was wearing all black clothing.
