POLICE have released an artist’s impression of a man who sexually assaulted a woman in Southsea.

The e-fit image comes after a 24-year-old woman was approached by a man she didn’t know near the junctions of Western Parade, Kent Road, Southsea Terrace and Castle Road on Sunday, September 8.

He attacked her at around 3.30am before another man came to help and stopped the man assaulting her any further.

The attacker is between 24 and 27 and is slim and muscular. He was clean-shaven and had short dark hair, which was longer on top and flicked up at the front.

Witnesses can call police on 101.
