ARSONISTS who started two fires at public toilets are being hunted by police.

A small pile of rubber was torched in the toilets in College Park, off Copnor Road, Copnor, at about 2pm on November 7.

Just over a week earlier two doors in the men’s toilets were set alight following a break-in overnight on October 25, causing £600 of damage.

PC Hayley Burden said: ‘Arson is a very serious crime. We are urging any members of the public who may have seen suspicious activity around the toilets on these dates to come forward. At present the damage although costly has been minimal, but we are eager to speak to those responsible and prevent further irreversible damage being caused.’
