DETECTIVES have released an e-fit of a burglar after he forced his way into to a house in Gosport.

The burglar burst into the home of a 58-year-old man in Stradbrook, Peel Common, after the owner opened the door at 6.45pm on Friday, November 16.

The suspect, who was in his early 40s, 5ft 9ins tall, with black hair with a grey tinge, made his victim take him to each room in the house, looking for items to steal.

Police say he is of medium build and has a small tattoo with writing on his neck.

The ordeal lasted 30 minutes, with the thief taking a laptop, mobile phone, tobacco and a small amount of loose change.
