POLICE have released an efit image of a man approached a teenage girl in a park.

The 15-year-old was walking alone through the children’s play area in Buckland Park off Washington Road, Portsmouth, between 11.35am and 11.45am on Wednesday, July 2.

A man sitting on a bench with a bicycle approached the girl and took hold of her hand. He let go moments later and cycled away towards North End.

Detective Constable Peter Bugden, said: ‘We are making a fresh appeal for information now that we have an efit.

‘I would urge anyone who recognises the man in the efit, to come forward and speak to us in confidence.

‘We are still keen to speak with a woman walking with a small brown dog who was in the park at the time of the incident.’

The man has been described as black, wearing a lime green hooded jogging top.
