The body of a man that was found last Wednesday on Southsea beach has been identified as Aaron Fiveash.
Dorset police released the identification as 36-year-old Aaron who went missing from Southbourne, in Bournemouth, on January 5.
A spokeswoman from the police said: ‘It has now been confirmed that he was found dead on Wednesday, January 29 on Southsea Beach in Hampshire.
‘Next of kin have been informed and the Portsmouth and South East Hampshire Coroner has been notified.’
A dog walker raised the alarm after finding the body at around 7.15am.
Police sealed off part of the beach near the Tenth Hole Tearooms and the pitch and putt golf course while forensic teams carried out their investigations.
