Police rubbish claims Portsmouth stabbing victim has died

POLICE have moved to quash speculation a man attacked in a double stabbing has died.

It comes after two men, aged 50 and 31, from Southsea, were taken to Southampton General Hospital with stab wounds after they were found in Somers Road, Somerstown, Portsmouth on Friday, March 3.

The older man suffered life-threatening injuries and was in a ‘very serious’ condition’, police previously said.

The younger man suffered injuries described as ‘serious’.

A Hampshire police spokesman said: ‘Contrary to social media posts the information is not the true information.’

He added enquiries are still ongoing over the incident.

Three women were arrested and bailed.
