POLICE are now searching a second home close to where an artist was found murdered.

A 22-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murdering 55-year-old grandmother Valerie Graves, who was battered to death at a house in Smugglers Lane, Bosham, West Sussex, on December 30.

Following the arrest, a second house in nearby Hoe Lane – which is just one road away from the murder scene – was searched yesterday but police have not confirmed whether the two incidents are linked.

A strong police presence remains at the house in Smugglers Lane.

Police have not yet released any information on why the Hoe Lane house is being searched.

Mrs Graves had been house-sitting at the Smugglers Lane property with her family.
