Police are seeking the owners of stolen jewellery recovered in Gosport.

The appeal is being made after a number of items, mainly rings, were recovered by officers in the town on Monday, September 16.

A Hampshire Police spokesman said: ‘We have already made some enquiries with victims of recent burglaries in the area, but have so far been unable to trace the owner of the jewellery.

‘If you believe the jewellery may be yours please contact Fareham & Gosport Priority Crime Unit by phoning 101. Proof of ownership will be sought.’
