A WARNING has been issued after people selling art door-to-door have claimed to be working for police and deaf.

PCSO Chris Dove said poor quality art was being sold for around £20 in the Havant area.

He said: ‘On one occasion, it’s been reported the male at the door told the resident that they were deaf and that they worked for the police selling this art.

‘Please do not buy anything at the door. If you need an item or service, buy from a reputable trader.’

He said to ask for identification.
