A MAN has admitted damaging a bench at a police station.

Lee Johnson, 31, of Thorncroft Road, Portsmouth, pleaded guilty to causing £60 of damage to the bench at Portsmouth Central station in Winston Churchill Avenue on September 26.

He was given a six-month conditional discharge, and ordered to pay £60 compensation to Hampshire Police Authority and £85 costs by Fareham magistrates.
