POLICE have been given more time to question a suspect after a road traffic collision which left two teenagers dead.

A Hampshire Constabulary spokesman said: ‘The courts have granted more time for detectives to continue questioning a 20-year-old man on suspicion of murder after a fatal road traffic collision in Gosport on Sunday, November 3.

‘The suspect can now remain under arrest in police custody for interviewing until 12.25am on Thursday, November 7.

‘A decision will follow on whether there is enough evidence at that time to charge the suspect with a criminal offence.’
