THIEF James Mitson has been given a suspended sentence.

Mitson, 25, of North End, Avenue, North End, Portsmouth, admitted stealing £26.94 of alcohol from the Co-op in Fawcett Road, Southsea, on November 10.

He also admitted being drunk and disorderly in public in Facwett Road on November 11.

Mitson was given a three months jail sentence suspended for a year by Portsmouth magistrates. He was put under supervision for a year and told to have six months of treatment for alcohol addiction. No separate penalty was imposed.
