ATTACKER Hafizur Rahman has been spared jail.

Rahman, 35, of Chichester Road, Portsmouth, admitted two counts of assaulting a woman in Portsmouth, on May 27 and then July 3.

He was sentenced to 16 weeks in jail suspended for a year by Portsmouth magistrates.

Rahman was banned from contacting the victim or visiting a certain address indefinitely.
