BICYCLE thief Andrew Andrews has been told to pay compensation to his victim.

The 38-year-old swiped the £150 bike after the owner left it in Fratton Road, Fratton, on August 12.

Andrews, of Kingston Road, Buckland, pleaded guilty to theft when he appeared at Portsmouth Magistrates’ Court.

He also admitted being found with a pair of wire cutters on him.

Andrews was ordered to pay £75 in compensation to his victim.

The magistrates also gave him a two-year conditional discharge.
