A DRINK-DRIVER who was more than twice the legal limit has been fined and banned from the roads.

Penelope Materacki was stopped by the police as she drove a Ford Fusion in Kingsley Road, Portsmouth.

A breathalyser test revealed she had 98 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath – more than double the legal limit of 35 microgrammes.

The 41-year-old pleaded guilty to drink-driving when she appeared at Portsmouth Magistrates’ Court.

She was fined £400 and told to pay £100 in costs. Materacki was banned from driving for two years.
