A DRINK-DRIVER who was more than three times the legal limit has been banned from the roads for two years.

Kevin Hedges was stopped driving his BMW convertible in Southampton Road, Cosham.

A breathalyser test showed the 52-year-old had 108 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath – just over three times the legal limit of 35 microgrammes.

Hedges, of Tunstall Road, Wymering, Portsmouth, pleaded guilty to drink-driving when he appeared at Portsmouth Magistrates’ Court.

He was fined £100 with £100 in costs.
