A DRUG-TAKING thief who stole a collection box has been ordered to get help for her addiction.

Sharon Randall, of St Andrew’s Road, Southsea, pleaded guilty to possessing crack cocaine and diamorphine in Milton Road, Southsea.

She pleaded guilty to stealing a money box belonging to Macmillan Trust from Palmerston Road, Southsea.

She admitted to committing the crimes while subject to a 12-month conditional discharge imposed for theft. The crimes were committed between January 10 and July 22.

Randall was told to have four months of treatment for drug dependency.

The 48-year-old was also put under supervision for six months at Portsmouth Magistrates’ Court.

Magistrates decided to make no order for costs or compensation.
