Portsmouth man admits drink charge

Nearly 2,700 cases of non-recent child abuse have been recorded by police in Hampshire. The NSPCC's chief executive said it is a sign that more people are confident in reporting the crimes perpetrated against them.

MAGISTRATES have fined a man for being drunk and disorderly.

Mathew Christmas, 32, of Allaway Avenue, Paulsgrove, Portsmouth, admitted committing the offence in Redlands Lane, Fareham.

He was given a six-month conditional discharge and told to pay £40 costs by Fareham magistrates.
