A MAN admitted obstructing a police officer.

Anthony Field, from Nessus Street, Portsmouth, pleaded guilty to obstructing the officer in the execution of his duty in London Road, North End, Portsmouth.

Field was given a six-month conditional discharge by Portsmouth magistrates.

The 49-year-old was ordered to pay £85 in court costs.
