A MAN from Portsmouth has denied terrorism offences, a court heard.

Mashudur Choudhury, 31, of Stubbington Avenue, was arrested at Gatwick Airport last October.

He is accused of arranging to travel to Syria to train as a terrorist.

He is also accused of travelling abroad to carry out terrorist acts.

At Kingston Crown Court, Choudhury was remanded in custody until his trial on May 6.
