MAGISTRATES have fined a man for possessing cannabis.

James Chiswell, from Sedgley Close, Somers Town, pleaded guilty to having the class B drug on him in Methuen Road, Southsea, on May 22.

The 25-year-old was fined £75 and told to pay £85 costs and £15 to a fund for victims of crime by Portsmouth magistrates.

An order was made for the drugs to be forfeited and destroyed.
