A 61-YEAR-OLD motorist who left a pedestrian seriously hurt has been fined.

David Herron, of Renny Road, Fratton, Portsmouth, admitted driving without due care and attention after failing to see the woman while driving a Ford Transit in Fawcett Road, Southsea, and knocking her over.

He was fined £225 and told to pay £15 to a fund for crime victims and £65 costs.

Portsmouth magistrates added four penalty points to his driving licence.
