MAGISTRATES have fined a man for assault.

Louis Fair, 22, of North End Avenue, Portsmouth, had denied assaulting a man by beating him in Fareham on February 28.

But he was found guilty by Fareham magistrates.

Fair was told to pay £565 in a fine and costs.
