A MAN has been fined for possessing cocaine.

Thomas Dobney, of Folkestone Road, Portsmouth, pleaded guilty to having the drug on him in Trevor Road, Southsea. The 30-year-old was fined £400.

He was ordered to pay a £40 victim surcharge and £85 costs by Portsmouth magistrates.

An order was made for the cocaine to be forfeited and destroyed under the Misuse of Drugs Act 1971.
