A THIEF who stole six bottles of perfume has been given a suspended prison sentence.

Nicholas Dear, 43, of Kingston Road, Buckland, admitted taking the perfume, worth £110, from TK Maxx at Cascades shopping centre when he appeared at Portsmouth Magistrates’ Court.

He committed the crime while he was the subject of a suspended sentence for a previous theft. Dear was given a six-week jail term, suspended for 12 months.
