A TEENAGER was knocked unconscious after being punched as he walked home in a late-night attack.

The 19-year-old victim was walking with friends when a man hit him, knocking out one of his teeth in Winston Churchill Avenue, Portsmouth, between 3.10am and 3.15am on Saturday.

PC James Scott said: ‘This appears to be a totally unprovoked attack in which a young man was knocked unconscious.

‘The offender was with a white woman with dark hair and wearing a black dress.

‘Were you in the area around the time of the incident and could you help us identify the offender?’

The suspect is described as a white man, slim and aged about 20 with shaved hair.

He wore a light-coloured T-shirt.
