THIEF Paul King has been let off with a conditional discharge.

King, 20, of Foster Road, Landport, Portsmouth, admitted stealing a carton of wine from a Tesco store in Portsmouth on February 26.

He was given a six-month conditional discharge and told to pay £25 costs by Fareham magistrates.

King admitted committing the crime while already subject to a conditional discharge. No further action was taken.
