A WOMAN who assaulted a police officer has been put under supervision.

Tina Sherwood, 23, of Copnor Road, Copnor, Portsmouth, pleaded guilty to assaulting PC Andrew Cullen in the execution of his duty at her home and damaging a cell wall at Portsmouth Central police station in Winston Churchill Avenue on the same day.

She admitted possessing a knife at The News Shop in Copnor Road, Copnor, the following day.

Sherwood was put under supervision for a year and told to pay £60 by Portsmouth magistrates.
