A WOMAN who fled a taxi without paying appeared before city magistrates.

Catherine Foster, 24, admitted making off without paying £8.60 for a taxi outside her home in Cumberland Street, Portsmouth.

She also admitted stealing meat and cheese costing £43 from Tesco Express at Gunwharf Quays. She was put under supervision for a year.
