BURGLARS have stolen several items of jewellery with great sentimental value during a house break-in.

The crooks broke into the home on Gudge Heath Lane in Fareham by smashing a downstairs window at some point between 7.45am and 5.15pm on Wednesday, July 27.

When the 43-year-old victim returned home and discovered the break-in, he found that several items had been taken from the bedroom.

The items stolen included: a nine-carat gold fob watch, engraved with the personalised inscription: ‘Congratulations Jak, from Kate, Lewis & Jenna’ on the back; a nine-carat yellow gold men’s wedding band; a nine-carat yellow gold box chain broken by the clasp and a nine-carat yellow gold men’s signet ring with a black onyx.

The suspects left through the back door after searching the home.
