A DRINK-DRIVER who took a vehicle without consent has been jailed.

Anthony Knight, 21, of Cunningham Avenue, Portsmouth, admitted stealing a Vauxhall Cavalier from Tamworth Road, Portsmouth, on March 3. He also admitted driving the car after drinking too much in Limberline Spur, Portsmouth, on the same day. A test revealed his breath contained 54 microgrammes of alcohol per 100 millilitres. The legal limit is 35 microgrammes.

Knight was sentenced to 24 weeks in jail by Portsmouth magistrates.
