A MAN was left with leg and facial injuries after being knocked out at Goodwood racecourse near Chichester.

The 49-year-old, from Petersfield, was attacked by a man in the Richmond bar area at the course. The assault happened between 10.10pm and 10.30pm on May 31. Details have just been revealed.

Detective Constable Kathy Longland, from Sussex police, said: ‘The victim was out at an event enjoying the evening when he was assaulted and knocked unconscious.’ Witnesses should call 101.
