POLICE have launched an investigation after a woman’s car was written off late at night.

Kirsty Crackle, 35, of Crofton Road, Milton, woke up to find the driver’s door and one of the back wheels of her blue Peugeot 406 caved in.

A neighbour told her they had seen a black Mercedes crashing into the car before driving off the night before on July 20. Officers are now keen to get in touch with the Mercedes driver. Mrs Crackle, who works as a sales consultant from home, said: ‘I’m upset at what’s happened.

‘The car is a write-off. Right now it is immobilised on the road outside my house.’

A Hampshire Constabulary spokeswoman said: ‘We are investigating an incident where a black Mercedes car allegedly wrote off a blue Peugeot.’
