A PROLIFIC shoplifter has been jailed after committing more crimes while on bail.

Daniel Girdlestone, 33, admitted stealing £50 of meat from Tesco in Gosport on November 3.

He admitted stealing washing liquid worth more than £127 from a Co-op in Forton Road, Gosport, on November 28 and £51.50 of meat from a Co-op in Dartmouth Court, Gosport, on November 23.

Girdlestone admitted stealing £60 of meat from the Dartmouth Road Co-op on November 6, £54 of meat from Tesco Express in Gosport, on November 11 and £23 of meat from the San Diego Road Co-op in Gosport on November 15.

On November 26 he stole meat from Palmyra Road Co-op in Gosport. He was jailed for 42 weeks by Portsmouth magistrates.
